The SRL runs annual courses in both Officiating and Coaching according to the IRB Level One syllabi. There is no course cost to members of clubs that are registered to the FRF and both courses are run at least twice a year.

The next Officials Level 1 course will be run in Oulu on April 17 2010. To register, contact your club’s board. Coaches Level 1 courses will be run during the summer due to satisfy the practical element of the course.

Nominations are called for a FIRA/ IRB Level 3 accreditation course. Potential candidates should note that accommodation, meals and course costs only are paid for, but application can be made to the FRF for assistance in travelling to Macoussis.
This course will be held at the French Rugby Federation’s National Rugby Centre in Marcoussis, near Paris. The course will be delivered by IRB Licensed Educators and Trainers and is in 2 parts.
The course will commence at 12.00hrs. on Friday 6th August and will finish at 14.00hrs. on Sunday 8th August 2010. More information about the course.
The target group is FIRA-AER member unions’ national team coaches or soon to be national team coaches that fulfil the below requirements:
* Have an IRB/FIRA-AER Level 2 Accreditation Coaching Certificate or equivalent.
* Can speak/read English and/or French.
* Can also attend Part 2 of the course 28th -30th January 2011 (location to be confirmed).
Applicants are to complete the IRB questionnaire and submit it to board@rugby.fi before 1200 April 20th 2010 (questionnaire is available for download from Google Docs).
A FIRA/ IRB Level 2 Sevens coaching accreditation course is to be held in Odense, Denmark 20-21 March 2010. In their current capacity as the women’s coaches, Henri Tyrväinen (7s) and Lauri Ylönen (15s) have been selected to attend.
